Paint and the Environment - Module
A single module from the Essentials of Paint and Painting Technology full course.

- Content: The content is separated in sections, with a brief knowledge check at the end of each section.
- Outcome: One Professional Development Hour (PDH) will be awarded, document available to download after completion.
If you go on to complete all 8 modules within a two-year period, you will be provided the option to purchase the Level 1 Essentials of Paint and Painting Technology Exam. Which, if successful, would give you the certification Architectural Coatings Technologist (ACT), a recognized certification in the commercial/architectural coatings industry and the prerequisite to the level 2 and 3 coatings specifications courses offered by MPI.

- The agencies involved with the green movement including current VOC regulations
- LEED and its requirements regarding paint
- Other issues relevant to paint and the environment, including recycled paints; the benefits of using lighter colors; and the importance of performance and durability to determine what is truly an environmentally-friendly coating
