MPI Product Standards:
There are three types of MPI Product Standards:
- Intended Use– require the manufacturer's technical certification that the product meets MPI's "Intended Use" definition and requirements.
- Evaluated Performance- require the manufacturer's technical certification that the product meets MPI's "Evaluated Performance" definition and are required to pass all the specific MPI Lab tests for the specific product standard.
- Detailed Performance- require the manufacturer's technical certification that the product meets MPI's "Detailed Performance" definition and are required to pass all the specific MPI Lab tests for the specific product standard.
The Evaluated and Detailed Performance categories must also meet or exceed the requisites of a full range of specific laboratory tests (MPI lab) prior to being listed in the MPI Approved Products List. Continued listing is dependent upon random MPI confirmation testing. |
